Treatment for Advanced Lung Cancers

Lung cancer can start anywhere in the lungs, however, over 90% of these cancers form in the epithelial cells lining the airways. The most common forms of this cancer are:

  • Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) - almost always associated with smoking and comprises less than 20 percent of all lung cases diagnosed. Often starting in the bronchi (near the center of the chest) and tend to spread throughout the body fairly early in the course of the disease.
  • Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for 80 – 90% of lung cancers. There are three major subtypes of NSCLC:
    1. Squamous cell carcinoma tends to be found in the central portions of the lung and is typically associated with smoking.
    2. Adenocarcinoma is usually found in the outer part of the lung.
    3. Large-cell carcinoma typically grows and spreads quickly and can be found in any part of the lung.
  • Lung mesothelioma is found in the lining of the lungs -- due to asbestos exposure and it may take up to 50 years for the symptoms to appear.

Today most U.S./Canadian oncologists rely on standard chemotherapy as first line treatments, generally relying on several platinum doublets that combine cisplatin or carboplatin with vinorelbine, paclitaxel, gemcitabine, Docetaxel or pemetrexed. Small cell patients often receive cisplatin plus etoposide or cisplatin plus irinotecan. Regardless, even with the standard expected response rate of 30 percent, this still leaves 7 out of 10 patients receiving treatment without benefit.

Treatment for Advanced Lung Cancers

ICCA treats advanced lung cancers (that are Small cell lung cancer, Lung mesothelioma, Non-small cell lung cancer ) at first class centers in Baja California, Mexico, Irvine or Los Angeles, California respectively.

ICCA physicians employ CoNexus Cancer Care, a blend of conventional, complementary, alternative, and novel clinically proven global medicines to treat advanced metastatic cancers, even when the tumor(s) is classified “untreatable” by many respected cancer centers! Advanced Lung Care Treatment uses customized, multifactorial cancer protocols often unavailable to U.S./Canadian patients, which synergistically combines:

  • Very short-course radiation – to destroy cancer stem cells that survive conventional cancer treatment particularly chemotherapy eventually causing lethal recurrence and metastases.
  • Live Tumor Cell Profiling – inspect live tumor cells in the lab to determine most effective targeting agents to kill that patient’s particular cancer cells.
  • Tumor-targeted immunotherapy -- enhances autologous immune response (select cytokines injected directly into tumor).
Metastatic Liver Treatment
Metastatic Liver Treatment
  • Autologous dendritic cell vaccine -- prevents cancer cells from spreading to surrounding tissues or organs; strengthens and stimulates the immune system to recognize and fight invading cancer cells.
  • Systemic Detoxification – complements natural healing through removal of harmful compounds that have built up from external pollutants.
  • Toxic-free – target destruction of cancer cells while keeping vital normal tissues and organs healthy. Treatments that strengthen the body and complement inherent metabolic principles rather than compromise an already weakened immune system.
  • Microwave and/or Cryoablation to remove tumor cells that have undergone significant reduction in size, shape and mass.

Why is this exceptional treatment not available in the US/Canada?

Because U.S. physicians must adhere to strict established treatment protocols with no deviation or modification of such, even when there is a need on behalf of the patient's wellbeing. With these restrictions physicians have to use a "one size fits all approach," regardless of stage or type of cancer, even though there are often better ways to treat late-stage cancers. Not being able to look “outside the box” treatments often result in lengthier rounds of chemotherapy, lengthier rounds of radiation, and sometimes, aggressive surgeries when a far less invasive procedure could have achieved similar, or even more favorable results.

  • Strategic Treatment Plan – formulate customized treatment and follow up plans, using all available conventional and/or alternative medicines, where indicated.
  • Neoadjuvancy – treatments administered before tumor removal to: 1) significantly reduce and limit tumor mass, 2) prevent cancer from spreading to critical organs and tissues, 3) concomitant use of treatment modalities to maximize patient outcomes.
  • Adjuvancy – procedures usually administered after tumor removal, confirmed reduction, shrinkage or potential destruction of entire tumor mass.
  • Supportive/symptomatic treatment.
  • Selected Immunotherapy programs - with a 3-month home program.
