COVID-19 Response and Prevention at Integrative Cancer Centers of America (ICCA)
These are unprecedented times in which we are experiencing quickly changing guidelines and recommendations. Together we are confronting the COVID-19 pandemic and it is more important than ever to take care of one another and be diligent and wise in our daily activities. It is always the Integrative Cancer Centers of America’s mission to provide a healthy and safe office where patients and staff are comfortable and secure. However, we realize that in times of heightened concern and risk-levels, additional measures must be taken to ensure a welcoming and sanitized environment. A critically important part of that means adhering, unequivocally, to the behavioral and infection prevention guidelines that have been strongly recommended by the nation’s health care experts.
The ICCA team takes our role as your trusted health care partner and cancer treatment clinic seriously. It is certain that our nation will experience more cases of infection in the days and weeks ahead. We have an exceptional health care team, protocols and strategies to help our clients stay healthy during this time.
We want to make sure our patients, staff, and their families and care givers remain informed of the measures the Centers has taken to ensure all of our continued health and safety. As guidelines, recommendations and requirements change, we will continue to keep this page updated, so please check back often to see the latest information.
The Integrative Cancer Centers of America is an essential service. Rest assured that we are still open and serving our patients as always in this exceptional time of need. Barring government order of closing health care facilities, we will continue to remain open.
We are screening all patients and visitors at entrances to Integrative Cancer Centers of America’s patient care areas. Anyone seeking to enter will be checked for fever and asked basic questions about symptoms and recent activity.
The following questions will be asked:
- Have you traveled outside of the US in the past two weeks?
- International patients must take rapid Covid 19 test 3 days prior to travel.
- Have you had a DRY cough? (No mucous)
- Have you recently had a fever over 102⁰?
- Have you recently had a sore throat?
- Are you experiencing any respiratory symptoms (shortness of breath)?
- Have you been in contact with anyone experiencing these symptoms?
While we are committed to providing a safe environment for our patients to interact with, we realize that some might not be comfortable coming to the office at this time. Additionally, if you experience any of the symptoms above, we want to continue to partner with you in your journey in to become cancer free. In either case, we offer Tele-Health consultations to accommodate your needs. Please request a Tele-Health consultation with your Patient Liaison.
We want to make sure you have been informed that we have taken all the necessary recommended measures to assure that our facility and staff are safe.
In addition to the pre-existing measures, Integrative Cancer Centers of America is committing to:
